Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators offers expert-led crisis negotiation training that helps law enforcement, first responders, and hostage negotiators develop the skills needed to manage critical situations. Our training programs incorporate proven techniques to ensure you are well-prepared for real-world challenges.

Region 1

REGION 1 - ADVANCED CRISIS NEGOTIATION CLASS FOR TEAM LEADERS

This 2 day advanced crisis negotiation class is specifically designed for both new and veteran team leaders.  It will equip participants with critical skills for effective crisis team management.

This training is being provided to local, state and federal law enforcement personnel which includes law enforcement officers/agents, peace officers, detention/corrections officers or communications officer who have a demonstrated profession interest in hostage/crisis negotiations.  Identification will be required showing your affiliation  with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency at the beginning of the training.

40 Hour Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Course - Mesquite

  • Dates:  July 27 - July 31, 2026
  • Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Location: Mesquite Police Department, 777 N Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, Texas 75149
  • Cost: $300 (Includes 1-year Membership)

This comprehensive course prepares law enforcement personnel for crisis/hostage negotiations, covering team roles, active listening, crisis psychology, and stress management. Meets TCOLE standards for wiretap warrants.

 A full week of training to include a Negotiation Challenge for negotiation teams, case studies on negotiated incidents and more.
