Region 1 – Strategic Communications Course for First Responders – Mesquite
This course gives first responders the essential skills for effective communication in high-pressure situations as well as their day to day conversations. Topics include rapport building, mastering communication techniques, and gaining the trust of individuals in crisis. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants will learn to navigate complex interactions and achieve positive outcomes. This class is a great introduction into the art of negotiations and established negotiators can benefit as well from the refresher on the fundamental communication skills used in negotiations.

This training is being provided to local, state and federal law enforcement personnel which includes law enforcement officers/agents, peace officers, detention/corrections officers or communications officer who have a demonstrated profession interest in hostage/crisis negotiations. Identification will be required showing your affiliation with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency at the beginning of the training.
