First Responder Training Course
Course Description/Overview
This is an 8-hour course designed to prepare first responding officers to handle a barricaded subject or hostage situation. The course will cover communication skills, what to expect from a barricaded subject or hostage taker and what happens when SWAT and Negotiators arrive. The first four hours of the course are classroom lecture and student exercises. After lunch, class participants will participate in scenario-based training.
